Who We Are
The Center for Animal Welfare at the University of California Davis is made up of people in the Department of Animal Science whose primary research and teaching activities focus on animal welfare science. It was established in 1998 to address animal welfare issues of critical concern statewide, nationwide, and internationally.
Our Mission
The mission of the Center is to provide leadership in matters relevant to animal welfare, focusing on the appropriate and humane care, husbandry, and management of animals.
